ARTICLE SUBMISSION

Not everything deserves publication.

If you’ve written something that survived your own doubt — something argued, sharpened, rewritten — you may offer it here.

This is for finished pieces.
If you’re trying to join the inner circle, go to Join the Collective.

What We Publish

We are not a content mill.
We are not chasing trends.
We are not optimizing for outrage.

We publish work that:

  • Thinks before it speaks

  • Has a spine

  • Takes a position

  • Can survive being reread

Essays. Cultural analysis. Interviews that reveal something real.
Research translated for humans.
Personal narratives that mean something beyond the self.

Length: Usually 800–1,000 words.
Longer is fine if it earns its length. Shorter is fine if it cuts clean.

Before You Enter

A few rules:

  • It must be original. Entirely.

  • It must be yours. Entirely.

  • If it’s being considered elsewhere, tell us.

  • Format it cleanly. We are allergic to chaos.

  • Upload as Google Doc (with access)

  • In the description box, tell us what the piece is doing, not just what it’s about.

Rights: If accepted, you grant (the)MAGAZINE non-exclusive rights to publish your work in print and online. You retain full ownership.

Response Time: 4–8 weeks. Silence means no.

If accepted, we may edit. This is collaboration, not vandalism.
